Practice means prepared . . . . Members of the Sidney Dive Team take part in regularly scheduled practice drills. Planned exercises keep divers and surface personnel alike ready for that call that could come at any time. In February 2004, the Sidney Dive Team became the third public safety response teams in the nation to complete accreditation with The Trident Consulting Group, based in Windsor, Colorado. With this accreditation, team members may be called upon by the group to respond to calls along the East Coast. In June, Sidney divers completed their certification with Emergency Response Diving International.
